Where possible, the measurement of over-fire and stack temperatures as well as draft and combustion gas content is the only way to verify the complete and safe combustion of the operating system. These measurements also verify the equipment’s performance to be within the understood parameters in which the equipment was sold and serviced. Please note the documents associated with this link contain specifics as to how each manufacturer instructs on the drilling of test holes into their vent products and the methodology prescribed to seal the holes at the conclusion of testing.
