Course Description: COSA conducts train the trainer programs
on Carbon Monoxide and Combustion
Analysis.

These programs
examine preparing the technician for carbon monoxide and
basic combustion analysis measurement. The topics covered
are driven to heighten the awareness of participants and
increase their knowledge on the effects of CO and the
importance of passing this instruction along.
Additionally, building pressure diagnostics as part of
combustion system analysis stresses the house as a system
approach to technician preparedness. What is CO? How is it
generated? How is it prevented? Who's on the team?
Persons who attendare given the Carbon Monoxide Safety
Certification exam.
With energy costs
rising and consumer demand efficient and safe products,
manufacturers will soon be requiring that their furnaces,
boilers, and other combustion appliances be installed and
serviced by technicians that can maximize their products
efficiency and safety. This can only be accomplished through
Combustion Analysis.
The inanimate becomes
anthropomorphized, as a living, breathing thing, in this
presentation about combustion and appliances that use
combustion to do work for us.
The program covers the
process and how to control parts of the combustion triangle
to understand the products of combustion and the one most
deadly by-product, carbon monoxide.
This presentation
explains the relationships of time, temperature and
turbulence necessary for complete combustion. How to measure
the result of combustion and understand how complete
combustion can be achieved using combustion test equipment
was an essential part of the information provided.
Who Should Attend: Environmental
and energy technicians & inspectors,
HVACR technicians, combustion equipment
manufacturers, fuel suppliers, building
& mechanical inspectors.
Certification: Course participants
have the opportunity to take the
HVAC Excellence
Carbon Monoxide and
Combustion Analysis Exams.
